Storm Watch Thursday

Thursday is going to be an active weather day in Southern New England. The morning will have showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rain and the potential for gusty, damaging wind gusts. After the initial round in the morning, humidity will climb and it will become quite soupy and warm with temperatures topping out in the lower-80s. Late morning into the afternoon, a cold front will bring the chance of severe weather with damaging winds and hail possible. Frequent lightning and downpours are also possible. The front clears this evening and overnight tonight will be partly cloudy with patches of fog near dawn. Friday finishes the week in style with plenty of sunshine and highs in the low-80s inland. Saturday is also looking just as nice but a touch cooler in the 70s. Sunday will be a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the 70s. Memorial Day Monday will start off dry but mainly cloudy with a good chance of afternoon showers.
