Street closed in Canton after commuter train collides with truck

CANTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Canton Police Department said a portion of Pine Street is closed after a commuter train collided with a truck on Wednesday.

According to the MBTA, the unoccupied truck was stopped on the tracks when it was hit.

Additionally, the MBTA said the crossing gates and lights were “operating as intended.”

Nobody was injured, and passengers on the commuter train are being provided with shuttle buses in the meantime.

While police investigate, Pine Street is closed between Bolivar Street and Waterfall Drive.

It is unknown when the roads will reopen.
