Student facing charges after bomb threat at Pawtucket middle school

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Pawtucket Police Department said a student will face charges after a bomb threat at Samuel Slater Middle School Monday.

Police said the school was placed on lockdown after a student made “concerning remarks.”

Officers and the department’s explosive-detection K9 searched the school and determined the threat was unfounded.

Police said the student who made the threat will face charges.
