Student threatens to shoot up elementary school in Warwick
Through the investigation Warwick Police determined that while the threat was disturbing, it was not credible.

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The superintendent in Warwick confirmed that an elementary school student threatened to shoot up Lippitt Elementary School over the weekend.
Superintendent Lynn Dambruch told ABC 6 News Tuesday that the student wrote in a chat Saturday afternoon, with other students, saying that he was going to “shoot up” the school.
Dambruch said parents notified the school’s principal who then reached out to police for assistance.
Through the investigation Warwick Police determined that while the threat was disturbing it was not credible.
Parents telling ABC 6 this threat was made by a fourth grader.
The school’s resource officer, social worker, and psychologist are available to any students at Lippitt who feel anxious.
