Summer in the fall
Major changes on the way!
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE ) — Mother Nature playing tricks on us. Summer felt like fall and fall feeling like summer.
Warm air mass remains across the region with a wind shift from the east this afternoon, which will keep it cooler along the coast. Inland, we should expect temperatures to climb into the mid to lower 80s. Dewpoints will be in the mid 60s, keeping the muggy feel.
Overnight, some clouds will filter in and temperatures won’t be as cool, in the upper 50s with patchy fog developing pre-dawn Thursday with temperatures in the mid-70s. Friday will roll around with more clouds than sun.
The front will approach from the west and bring showers overnight into Saturday with temperatures falling from lower 70s to upper 60s. Showers on Saturday will be heavy at times and we’re not ruling out an isolated thunderstorm.
We may see leftover showers Sunday first thing in the morning, otherwise, sunny and brisk in the upper 50s. These cool and below average temperatures will remain through next week.
In the meantime, let’s enjoy with summer-like feel in the fall.
