Sumner Tunnel to close in Boston

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Route 1A Southbound of the Sumner Tunnel in Boston will close today for construction.

According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, the tunnel will be closed seven days a week starting today through August 5.

During this time, traffic will be diverted through our signed detour routes here.

Starting late summer, the tunnel will be closed on weekends through November.
