Sunshine abounds midweek
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — High pressure is in charge of our weather this midweek and the result is sunshine through the days and clear, cool nights. Today we start in the 50s and will top out near 75.
Sunglasses are a must with solar glare possible for both the early and late commutes. Skies remain clear overnight and temperatures drop even further near 50 to start Thursday.
Thursday continues the sunny weather trend and temperatures top out near 73 in the afternoon. Friday we will see increasing clouds but should remain dry with cooler highs near 70.
The weekend is looking unsettled and it all hinges on the development of a coastal storm. We will be watching an area of low pressure off the South Carolina coast for development of this storm today and tomorrow.
Should the storm develop and slide up the coast, we will see lots of clouds and developing rain from south to north Saturday morning through Sunday. We could see areas of heavy rainfall as well. Weekend temperatures will be running cooler than average with highs in the 60s.
