Sunshine, Smoke and Seventies
Our weather pattern continues on with plenty of sunshine throughout the week ahead. In fact, many factors will continue to be the same like the high pollen levels and very high UV index. As for temperatures, we will be chilly Tuesday morning with lows in the 40s, but temperatures will recover once again into the lower-70s inland and lower-60s at the coast. Tuesday will have another added element of smoke. Wildfires burning in Nova Scotia Canada are making ground-level smoke that will likely be directed into Southern New England from 9am-4pm Tuesday. You will likely notice the wood burning smell, hazy skies, and small particulates may exacerbate conditions for folks with respiratory concerns. Conditions improve Tuesday night with a change of the wind direction from the south. That new southerly wind will bring the heat Wednesday through Friday with the upper-70s and lower-80s. A Friday night cold front will bring temperatures back to more seasonable levels for the weekend.
