Suspect arrested after Pawtucket stabbing

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Pawtucket Police Department said a man accused of stabbing a woman was arrested on Nov. 30.

48-year-old Ignacio Sanchez was charged with several domestic related offenses.

Police responded to a residence on Gooding Street around 10 p.m. and discovered a 42-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds.

She was taken to a local hospital and is “expected to survive,” police said.

Officers arrested Sanchez on scene.

Police said Sanchez may face additional charges.
