Suspect in custody after stabbing in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A suspect is in custody after a person was stabbed on Lonsdale Avenue in Pawtucket Wednesday night.

According to Detective Sergeant Christopher Lefort, a victim was stabbed and taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The severity of the victim’s injuries was not immediately known.

A suspect was also taken into custody, according to Det. Sgt. Lefort.

The incident remains under investigation.
