Suspect in fatal Fall River shooting in custody

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department said that a suspect is in custody in connection to the shooting death of an 18-year-old.

17-year-old Antwyne Robinson was charged with murder.

He was arrested in Fall River Thursday morning.

Director of Communications Gregg Miliote said that police responded to reports of a shooting on Locust Street around noon on Saturday.

When they arrived, they found 18-year-old Jovanni Perez suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was rushed to Charlton Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Miliote said that Robinson was expected to be arraigned Thursday afternoon.
