Suspect in Providence homicide held without bail

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The suspect in a murder in Providence that occurred on Nov. 13 was held without bail Friday.

26-year-old Kelvin Mendez Cruz was charged with domestic murder and using a firearm when committing a crime of violence – death resulting.

The murder occurred on Broad Street, where police found a woman, 29-year-old Morgan Lynn-Boss, shot in the head.

She later died at the hospital.

Cruz’s next court hearing was scheduled for Nov. 21.
