Suspect in Providence murder arrested in Arizona

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The City of Providence said a suspect in a murder that occurred in September on Chalkstone Avenue was arrested in Arizona.

Shabree Lovett was arrested for felony assault/homicide after being tracked by the Providence Police Department and United States Marshalls.

34-year-old Brian Clements was stabbed on the corner of Chalkstone Avenue and Zone Street on Sept. 20 after a disagreement over who was going to take his child home from the bus stop.

He died several days later in the hospital.
