Suspect in shooting of Easton teen in court for dangerousness hearing

TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Brockton man accused of shooting a 16-year-old girl in Easton will face a judge Friday.

18-year-old Anthony Lopes is accused of shooting the victim at the Avalon Easton Apartments on Robert Drive last month.

Lopes was arraigned on several charges, including assault and battery and armed robbery with a firearm.

The victim remains hospitalized with serious injuries, but she’s expected to survive.

Lopes is being held without bail.

He’s expected in court Friday for a dangerousness hearing.
