Suspected drug dealer arrested in Wareham

WAREHAM, Mass. (WLNE) – Wareham Police arrested a suspected drug dealer Tuesday following in investigation into illegal drug activity in the area.
Police were observing a home on Tomahawk Drive around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday as part of the investigation. Officers stopped a male subject leaving the house and took him into custody after a brief struggle.
Detectives located suspected fentanyl, and electric stun gun, two cell phones, and $81 cash in the suspect’ possession.
Police later executed a search warrant of the Tomahawk Road address, seizing $494 in cash and a digital scale.
Codey Murphy, 23, of Wareham, was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class A Drug and Resisting Arrest.
Wareham Police said Murphy was found guilty of Possession with Intent to Distribute charges in 2016, and is also facing multiple felony charges in connection with a home invasion in Bourne in March.
