Suspicious package causes brief evacuation at Dunkin’ Donuts Center

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Dozens of voters and workers were evacuated briefly from the Dunkin’ Donuts Center on Tuesday after a ‘suspicious package’ was reported.
The polling place was evacuated just before 3 p.m., causing about a hundred people to wait outside for an hour before being able to return inside.
According to Mayor Elorza it was a backpack that was left behind.
