Swansea Police advise residents to avoid intersection due to fallen traffic lights
SWANSEA, Mass. (WLNE) — The Swansea Police Department is advising residents to avoid the intersection at Route 6 and Gardners Neck Road due to a construction issue.
According to police, the traffic lights are down at the intersection, limiting the directions of travel.
Police said there was construction in the area of the intersection prior to the incident, and confirmed there was no crash.

While crews fix the light, drivers are advised to find an alternate route.
However, some directions of travel remain open:
- Drivers on Route 6 are able to travel straight in both directions
- Drivers traveling west of Route 6 can turn right
- Drivers traveling east on Gardners Neck Road can turn right
