T. F. Green International Airport-Delta Air Lines announces new daily flights to New York LaGuardia Airport

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Airport Corporation announced Wednesday that T. F. Green airport will offer flights to New York City three times a day during the week, two times a day on Saturday and Sunday. The goal of the new service is to help ease travel between New England and New York.

The new flight service will begin January 5. On that same day, Delta Airlines will also upgrade their flights to Detroit, which also run three times a day, to a larger aircraft to improve service.

Delta Air Lines also announced the return of their seasonal flights to Minneapolis-St. Paul, which will run from June 7 to September 5, 2022.

John Goodman, Assistant Vice President, Media & Public Relations shared a statement with ABC6 saying,

“Flight times and fares from PVD to New York/LaGuardia are available at: https://www.pvdairport.com/flights/book-now. This new route brings the Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport’s (PVD) nonstop route count to 26, marking a 53% increase in non-stop routes along with a 57% increase in the number of airlines serving PVD since 2016.
