Taco dinner kits recalled due to accidental cocoa powder-taco seasoning swap
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A taco dinner kit label mix-up could lead to an interesting flavor mash-up, but also a threat to certain allergy sufferers.
Teasdale Foods, Inc. announced a recall of some of its taco kits due to a labeling error that led to cocoa mix packets being included in boxes in place of taco seasoning.
The cocoa product contains milk, presenting a threat to people with dairy allergies.
No illnesses have been reported in the recall, according to the FDA.
The affected products are Martin’s and Giant Crunchy Taco Dinner Kit and Casa Mamita Soft Taco Dinner Kit.
Rhode Island and Massachusetts are affected by this recall.
