Taunton man charged with 5th DUI

A Taunton man is facing dunk driving charges for a fifth time.

Massachusetts State Police pulled over 47-year-old Michael Hackett around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon for speeding and found he was driving without a license.

They also say he and his passenger had several open containers of alcohol in the car.

Hackett was charged with OUI 5th offense, negligent operation, and possession of open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, among other charges.

Hackett’s bail was set at $1,040 pending an arraignment.
