Taunton man hit, killed in Wrentham

WRENTHAM, Mass. (WLNE) – A pedestrian attempting to cross Route 1 in Wrentham was struck and killed by a vehicle on Tuesday night.

The Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office told WCVB – ABC 6’s sister station in Boston – they identified Patrick Royster, 42, of Taunton as the victim.

The accident occurred at about 5:45 p.m. near 525 Washington Street, where police say two separate vehicles collided with Royster as he attempted to cross the road.

Officials told WCVB that one driver could face charges.
