Taunton man sentenced for trafficking narcotics out of sober living house
TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn announced that a 38-year-old drug trafficker was sentenced to prison.
Daniel St. Pierre pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges on Thursday.
On June 20, 2023, Taunton officials executed a search warrant at a sober living facility on Church St.
When the police watched surveillance footage from the home, that they saw the defendant exit the sober home while talking on his phone.
St. Pierre was sitting on the front steps when a woman walked up to him.
Video revealed the two exchange something. She was also seen in footage putting something in her mouth and washing it down with a drink.
Detectives confronted St. Pierre and the woman.
The woman told detectives that she purchased Adderall from St. Pierre.
The remaining pills she purchased were seized by police.
Detectives then led St. Pierre into the sober living house into his room.
There, they found methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl.
In addition to narcotics, police found plastic bags, scales, and over $11,000 in cash.
St. Pierre was sentenced to serve five to eight years in state prison.
