TAUNTON, Mass. — Police responded to a report of an unwanted guest at a Taunton home Saturday night, according to authorities.
Officials say they could hear a conversation of a male and female party inside the apartment when they entered.
When the female answered the door, she stated no one was in the apartment and allowed them to search around.
Police say the female tried to distract them from the bedroom.
However, when they entered the room, they noticed a large bump under a brown comforter wedged between the bed and the wall.
When police removed the comforter, 31-year-old Brian R. Nunes of Taunton was found curled up on the floor.
Nunes refused to allow the officers to handcuff him and held his hands tucked under his body.
A struggle ensued between police and Nunes, but when he was handcuffed, a switch blade and a canister of pepper spray was found under him.
Nunes had three outstanding arrest warrants and an additional new charge of: Carrying a Dangerous Weapon and Resisting Arrest.
He will be arraigned on Tuesday in Taunton District Court.
