Taunton police charge Fall River man for bank robberies

TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — A Fall River man is behind bars for robbing a bank in two Massachusetts cities, according to the Taunton Police Department.

45-year-old John Medeiros was arrested on Wednesday for robbing a bank in Taunton and Fall River.

Taunton police say Medeiros confessed to a bank robbery at Mechanics Cooperative Bank robbery in Taunton last week.

Medeiros was arraigned this past Wednesday in Fall River District Court for the bank robbery that occurred in Fall River.

He was also arraigned in Taunton District Court Friday for the bank robbery that occurred in Taunton.
