Taunton Police investigate double stabbing

EAST TAUNTON – Taunton Police are investigating a double stabbing in a residential neighborhood.

Police say two women were stabbed just after midnight on Middleboro Avenue in East Taunton.

Police say two men entered the home and ordered the females to “Get on the floor”. They say an altercation between the females and the assailants led to the stabbing.

The women were transported to Rhode Island Hospital where they were treated and released.

No one is in custody at this time and the incident is being treated as a home invasion.
