Taunton Police investigating shots-fired incident

TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Taunton Police Department said that it was investigating a shots-fired incident that took place on Winthrop Street.

Officers responded to the U-Haul around 10:30 p.m. on June 18 to find a vehicle occupied by a 20-year-old male and 22-year-old female that was fired at.

Neither of the two occupants were hit.

The department said that suspects fled before police arrived, but there was no ongoing threat to public safety.
