Taunton Police are investigating a recent string of robberies that may have been committed by the same suspects.

Police say that suspect descriptions in 5 area robberies over a 5 day period were similar and lead them to believe the crimes were committed by the same one or two suspects.

On January 2, a Valero gas station was robbed, followed by a Stop N Go and a B&M Variety on January 4, a Dunkin’ Donuts on January 5, and Girlies Variety on January 7.

In 3 of those robberies, the suspects were described as 2 white males around 5’5” – 5’9” wearing all black, a black hood, and a black mask.

In the other 2, one male suspect was reported, fitting a similar description.

Witnesses in 3 of the robberies saw a black handgun. At the Dunkin’ Donuts, witnesses reported seeing 2 handguns. There was no weapon reported at the Valero.

Police do not believe these robberies are connected to the Christmas Eve robbery at the First Citizens Credit Union.
