Taunton woman dedicates ‘Kindness Stand’ flowers to Judge Caprio
TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — A Taunton woman who drew inspiration from Judge Frank Caprio’s life dedicated her flower stand to him for the day on Friday.
Grace Larson has been on a mission of kindness at her stand on Highland Street.
On Friday, a small placard bearing Caprio’s name and photo was front and center bearing this message: “He was the true definition of kindness. May he rest in peace.”
Caprio died at age 88 Wednesday after announcing a health setback amid a battle with pancreatic cancer.
His legacy of kindness and compassion is being celebrated around the world.
“I’ve watched Judge Caprio on TikTok, and I’m all about kindness,” Larson said. “That’s been my number one motto for many, many years. He is the true definition of kindness. When he passed away, I wanted to put a little sign out to dedicate it to him today.”
Larson started with a ‘chaos garden,’ which she describes as sprinkling seeds down and hoping flowers bloom.
She built the stand with the help of her husband, and gives away free flowers.
People can donate money at the stand, and this week, donations collected on two days went to help buy local teachers supplies from their Amazon wish lists.
Larson told us she is in need of jars to put flowers in, if you have any to spare and want to help.
