Riley went missing seven months ago after a trip to the vet on January 10th.

Jodi Greenleaf never met Riley or his family, but after hearing he got lost, she set up a Facebook group to help find him.

" I said I can help, I know what to do," said Jodi.

The group, called 'Riley is Missing', has since grown to over 600 members. Neighbors – and strangers – spend countless hours posting flyers and keeping an eye out for Riley.

"Driving around you see all the signs everybody posts, and then you just get involved," said Carey Takach, a Team Riley member.

Retired teacher Dyanne Spatcher has been dedicated to Team Riley since January 11th.

"What do you do in your retirement…I guess I'm out looking for missing dogs."

"We had a small army of people, we had local businesses helping us out we had a guy that came with his drone, we had a dog tracker come."

Team Riley has installed cameras and created maps to track Riley's whereabouts, but they've also become a forum for other missing pets in the area, including Courage the cat and Pete the lab.

Jodi and the group hope to help people find their missing pets and educate them that cats and dogs are survivors.

When he finally comes home, Riley's sister Stephanie says, " I'm gonna hug him and tell him to never do that again."

His family says they were hoping he would be home by August 7th, which is his second birthday.
