Technical problem causes UHIP website to crash

More trouble for the state’s new benefit system after the online customer portal shut down just after noon on Friday because of a technical problem.

This is just the latest issue since the launch of UHIP in September.

A Department of Administration official says the technical team is looking into it.

The hope is for the site to be back up and working as usual by Saturday morning.

The state is still grappling with a back-log of more than 9,000 cases.
