Teen killed, others injured in Massachusetts house party shooting

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — A 16-year-old from Bellingham died from his injuries over the weekend after shots rang out at a house party in Northborough early Sunday morning.

Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early said police responded to a house party on Howard Street around 1 a.m. for a report of a person with a firearm.

Police heard gunshots and found a chaotic scene including several hundred people.

Officials are asking for any help in learning more about the scene before this shooting.

“Everyone’s got a cellphone, anyone who was taking video while all of this was going on, please give it to the Norfolk police. We can use anything you’ve got. Like the chief said, it’s mothers day, and a mother’s lost a 16-year-old,” said Early.

Officials say multiple people were shot, including that 16-year-old from Bellingham who was taken to UMASS Memorial Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Early says three people were arrested on firearm charges.

Police say this is still under active investigation, but also mentioned they’ve responded to several other massive parties at the home before.
