Teen stabbed outside Providence Place

An investigation is underway after a teen was stabbed just outside of Providence Place Mall.
According to Providence police, the incident happened around 8:15 p.m. outside of the former Joe’s American Bar & Grill at the mall.
Maj. David Lapatin said the 14-year-old boy was stabbed by another teen after a confrontation over a Facebook argument.
According to Police, after the stabbing, the victim went inside the mall looking for help.
The victim was taken to Hasbro Children’s Hospital, where as of midnight Friday evening, was in stable condition.
Police are still searching for the suspect, and are expecting to have a warrant out for his arrest by Saturday.
