Teen suffers knife wound in Providence Place Mall sky bridge fight

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Police responded to the Providence Place Mall over the weekend for reports of an altercation in the mall’s sky bridge.

Police learned that a 39-year-old male was in an altercation with a group of males in the sky bridge.

An 18-year-old male in the group sustained a non life-threatening laceration on the left forearm in the altercation, according to Providence police.

The injury was caused when the 39-year-old male pulled out a knife during the fight.

Both subjects were arrested and charged.

The 39-year-old was charged with felony assault and the 18-year-old was charged with simple assault.
