Tesla bursts into flames while on autopilot, two killed

HOUSTON, TX (WLNE) – An investigation is underway after a Tesla that appeared to be on autopilot crashed into a tree killing two men Saturday night.

According to officials, the Tesla which was driving on its own was unable to navigate a curve in the road causing it to leave the roadway, and smash into a tree.

No one was sitting in the driver’s seat at the time.

Officials say the two men had taken the car out for a test drive after dropping off their wives at home.

After the crash one man was found in the front passenger seat and the other in the back seat.
