Texas man charged in 4 sexual assaults in New Bedford in 2013

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Bristol Count District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III said that a Texas man was arraigned in the cases of four sexual assaults that took place in New Bedford in 2013.

51-year-old Orlando Robles was charged with kidnapping, two counts of rape, indecent assault and battery on a person over 14, nine counts of assault and battery, assault with the intent to commit an indecent assault and battery, and use of a vehicle in the commission of a crime.

The four assaults occurred between June and July 2013.

The suspect allegedly sexually assaulted and physically attacked each victim, with one of the incidents taking place in his truck, two occurred outside the victim’s homes, and the fourth occurred in the downtown area of the city.
