T.F. Green Airport installs service animal relief area

T.F. Green Airport has installed a Service Animal Relief Area (SARA).

SARA is located post-security in the North Concourse and is accessible to all passengers traveling with service animals.

The area is fully equipped and includes a wash down stall, complete with special synthetic grass, which covers the flushing system, and a water hose.

To maintain cleanliness, specialized floor drains were installed beneath the grass and a sink area with cleaning supplies for handlers.

“Green Airport continually looks to improve our passenger experience,” said RIAC Interim President and CEO Peter Frazier in a press release.

Passengers traveling with service animals would still pass through security.

This new installment will make the experience for travelers more convenient.

There are outdoor relief areas located just outside the ground-level terminal exit, towards Garage A.
