T.F. Green runway expansion ground breaking

Ground was broken on the T.F. Green runway expansion project on Monday. The controversial project is years in the making.

The Governor joined members of the congressional delegation and local leaders making the beginning of a new era for the airport. The extra 1500 ft. is expected to allow for larger aircrafts that are needed for west coast and international fights.

The expansion is expected to be finished by December of 2017.
