Third teen charged in fatal Fall River shooting

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A third teen has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a student in Fall River last week.

Officials said 19-year-old Jadyn Ortiz was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon in Fall River.

Ortiz joins 19-year-old Xzavien Figueroa-Valcarel and 18-year-old Giovanni Nunes as those charged in the shooting of 18-year-old Colus Jamal Mills-Good.

Fall River police responded to calls of shots fired on Rock Street at 11:41 a.m. last Thursday, per officials.

Crews arrived to find Mills-Good suffering gunshot wounds and transported him to St. Luke’s Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Figueroa-Valcarel and Nunes were taken into custody on Sunday and held on $250,000 cash bail.

Ortiz will be arraigned tomorrow morning in Fall River District Court, per officials.

All three teens were charged with Accessory to Murder-After the Fact.
