TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) – About 30 cars burned during a large fire at an auto auction in Taunton Friday night.

The Taunton Fire Department says they were called around 5:41 p.m. to the IAA auto auction on Myricks St.

There were no reported injuries.

The Department says the auction lot is in a remote area without fire hydrants, so firefighters had to stretch over two thousand feet of hose lines to battle the fire.

As of 10 p.m., crews were still on scene extinguishing the last of the flames.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
