This week, gas prices up by a cent in Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The average price of gasoline this week in Rhode Island is up by a cent, according to AAA Northeast.
The average is up to $3.51 per gallon. That’s 10 cents higher than a month ago and 5 cents lower than the national average, said AAA Northeast.
“We may be in a bit of a demand lull heading into the July Fourth holiday,” said Diana Gugliotta, director of Public Affairs for AAA Northeast. “Drivers are benefitting financially, with 20 gallons of gas costing nearly $30 less than last year. And with the cost for oil low, drivers will find pump prices that are flat or drifting slightly lower for now.”
This week’s average gas price is $1.46 lower than this time last year.
