Three arrested in Providence in connection with robbery

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said three men were arrested in connection with a robbery on Allens Avenue.
38-year-old Victor Encarnacion, 31-year-old Bulaon Hawkins, and 35-year-old Roberto Cales were charged with robbery and conspiracy.
Police said that officers were told by victims that they were sitting in a parked car when two men approached them, who the “displayed firearms and demanded property.”
The suspects then fled along with a third unarmed man in a Jeep with several stolen items.
Rhode Island State Police then spotted the suspect vehicle and pursued it down Interstate 95 South.
Police said the vehicle was eventually stopped by West Greenwich officers and the three suspects were taken into custody.
