Three Cities Consider Sharing Municipal Services

By: ABC6 Newsroom
Governor Chafee today created a task force to look into the possibility of Pawtucket, East Providence and Central Falls sharing municipal services.
The group will make recommendations to the three financially-strapped cities on ways they could save money.
The five member task force will include the mayor of Pawtucket, the city manager of East Providence, and representatives for Central Falls' state-appointed receiver. The group will be led by the executive director of the independent Rhode Island Public Expenditure Council.
