Three injured after head-on collision following shoplifting incident

FOXBORO, Mass. (WCVB) – Three people were injured in a head-on collision in Foxboro on Sunday afternoon.

Police say the driver of a minivan had shoplifted at the CVS on Route 1 at Patriots Place, and when encountered by Foxboro Police, sped off.

Along the way, the minivan collided head-on with a pickup truck. Residents listened to the incident on the police scanner, and watched it unfold in their front yard. One neighbor was able to help the driver of the pick up truck, who was trapped inside the truck with his golden retriever.

Police say the bystander was airlifted to the hospital, along with one of the suspects.  A second suspect was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
