Three injured after RIPTA bus hits deer

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Three people were injured after a a RIPTA bus hit a deer in Warwick.

It happened Monday, June 11, when officials say a deer jumped through the windshield of the bus on Sachem Avenue.

The bus was traveling southbound on Warwick Avenue.

Six passengers were onboard at the time.

Two were reported to have minor injuries for broken glasses, and were transported to the hospital.

The third individual went to the hospital on their own.

The remaining three passengers were uninjured.
