Three people injured after multi-car accident in Lincoln.

LINCOLN, RI (WLNE) – Three people were injured in a multi-car accident on Friday night.
Police responded the of the accident in the area of Lonsdale Avenue and Front Street at around 8:00 p.m on May 17th, 2019
The department says the accident was caused by a driver who ran a red light and struck a Providence police cruiser driven by an off-duty officer.
The cruiser then hit another vehicle.
Officials say three people suffered minor injuries and the driver who ran the red light will be cited for traffic violations.
The intersection was also a scene of another accident in April, when Cumberland resident, Richard Barche III was facing several charges including DUI after he left the roadway and hit a mini-van before crashing into a multi-family home.
