Three people rescued from west wall after vessel collision

CHARLESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — Three people were rescued at the west wall of the Charlestown Breachway after a vessel collision Monday afternoon.
At 12:17, Charlestown Rescue, Charlestown Police, and Dunn’s Corners Fire Department were dispatched for a report of a vessel collision with multiple people in the water.
Upon arrival, police identified three individuals on the west wall of the breachway who were involved in the collision, according to the Charlestown Ambulance Rescue Service Facebook.
Various rescue and fire members entered from Blue Shutters Beach and made their way towards the west wall to retrieve to the individuals.
Rescue swimmers helped move one swimmer, while the other two were assisted with wadding through the water.
One swimmer was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
