Police: Three victims targeted in Fall River shooting

FALL RIVER, MA (WLNE): Three people were injured in a shooting in Fall River on Sunday night.

Fall River Police responded to the area of 164 Tremont Street around 11:15 p.m. after receiving reports of multiple gunshots fired. When they arrived, they found nine 7.62 caliber shell casings in the area.

The victims were not found at the scene, but in a car more than a mile away on Columbia Street. Police said one of the 911 calls they received were from the victims, saying they needed immediate medical attention.

The victims, a woman and two men, were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries. As of Monday morning, their condition was stable, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
