Tiverton crews respond to structure fire

TIVERTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Tiverton Fire Department said crews responded to a structure fire on Feb. 25.

At 6:30 p.m., crews were dispatched to Main Road for reports of a structure fire.

Prior to the crews arrival, officials were notified that a tenant used a fire extinguisher in an effort to control the fire.

At the scene, firefighters searched the upper floors to make sure the fire did not extend.

One person was evaluated on scene for minor injuries, according to fire officials.
