Tornado confirmed in Rehoboth

REHOBOTH, Mass. (WLNE) — The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado occurred in Rehoboth in addition to the one that occurred in Lincoln during storms on June 26.

The tornado was in a “wooded area” of Steber Way and snapped a large number of trees due to 90 mile-per-hour winds.

There was no significant damage to any homes.

NWS added that a microburst occurred in Seekonk with winds of up to 100 miles-per-hour.

Snapped trees from these winds damaged the roof of Seekonk High School.
