‘Track 15’ food hall coming to Providence next summer
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A new food hall is coming to the center of Providence’s historic Union Station in the summer of 2024.
The hall, named Track 15, is a $22 million dollar investment in the restoration of the historic building will soon host vendors, a bar and a large space to tie in the culture of the city.
“To see the change during COVID happen here, we felt like it was really important to not only reactivate Union Station, but also downtown. There was nothing better than this type of program — a food hall — that is both dynamic and interesting and offers a lot more than a single restaurant,” explained Chris Marsella, President of Marsella Construction Corporation.
All of the vendors will be from Rhode Island, and the food hall aims to highlight local culinary talent.

“The way the individual stalls are designed, they are to be forward facing with the food and the theater of cooking. It is not hidden behind the scenes; it is meant to be in front of you so they can showcase that talent,” Marsella said.
The name Track 15 also pays tribute to Rhode Island’s capitol city.
“It is a nod to the station’s history and past. This was a train station from 1898 to the mid 1980s, and not a lot of people know that. There were 15 original tracks that went out towards north of us. Track 15 is the next iteration of the story,” Marsella explained.
Vendors told ABC 6 News that they’re excited to open their doors and welcome the public in.
“I have always been interested in Providence. I think the food scene here is so exciting. I am super pumped to come here and bring a taste of Newport to Providence and have them experience what we do over there,” said Kevin O’Donnell, chef and owner of Mother Pizzeria and Gisuto.
